Mayer-Gross station
Clinic for General Psychiatry
-The Mayer-Gross ward is a protected psychiatric acute and admission ward. Patients who benefit from a protective environment due to the acute severity of their illness are treated here.
-Treatment focuses on the diagnostic assessment and acute treatment of patients with schizophrenic and affective disorders [...] as well as crisis interventions for suicidal patients, for example with acute stress reactions or adjustment disorders. If an organic mental disorder is suspected, a comprehensive somatic assessment is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues from the relevant specialist disciplines. Admission [...] takes place in consultation with our duty doctor or after registration via our Central Patient Management with a referral from registered doctors.
-Patients who are in acute danger to themselves and/or others may refuse urgently needed treatment due to illness. In such cases, it may be necessary for the patient to be placed by a judge in accordance with the Baden-Württemberg Mental Health Assistance Act or the Care Act.
