With around 550 employees, the nursing service at the Centre for Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine plays a key role in the care process for paediatric patients. Our focus is on holistic and patient-centred care, in which parents and other direct caregivers are always involved. The nursing service, medical service and therapeutic professional groups form an interprofessional team that always strives to provide the best possible quality of care.

The nursing service at the Centre for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine is particularly characterised by its close interdisciplinary cooperation. Established communication structures between the nursing management and ward management teams guarantee resource-orientated patient care at all times. The nursing management team lives by the open-door principle. By dividing up areas of responsibility, personal contact persons from the nursing management team are defined for each area. This enables personal contact between employees at management level despite the size of the centre.
