The Centre for Psychosocial Medicine - Old Clinic: The Centre for Psychosocial Medicine (ZPM ) at Heidelberg University Hospital, founded on 1 January 2005, unites all psychosocial facilities of the clinic and ensures interdisciplinary care for patients with mental or psychosomatic illnesses.
It offers optimal conditions for cooperation between different disciplines in patient care, teaching and research. Interdisciplinary cooperation is promoted through rotations of nursing staff, doctors and psychologists.
The clinics and institutes of the ZPM remain independent, while a joint nursing service and commercial management facilitates coordination.
