Your start in our nursing teams
All new nursing staff at the dermatology clinic receive specific induction training. There are individual induction concepts for the wards, outpatient areas and dermatological operating theatres, which provide a framework for the induction phase. Depending on previous professional experience and existing skills, the induction is customised as required. Experienced employees in the nursing teams are appointed as mentors for the induction phase so that support can be provided as consistently as possible during the initial period. In many areas, the induction is also supported by our practice instructors.
Regular reflection meetings with the ward managers also accompany the familiarisation phase. Four to six weeks after starting work, a feedback meeting is also held with the head of nursing, focussing on a joint review of the first few weeks of work.
