Our Department of Surgery and Department of Anaesthesiology at Heidelberg University Hospital is one of the oldest and most traditional centres in Germany with over 300 beds. As a maximum care centre with several certified centres of excellence, we offer the highest level of medical care every day.

The dedicated nursing team supports the entire clinical operation - at the patient's bedside, in the recovery room, in the operating theatre and in central patient management. Our aim is to ensure holistic care for our patients during treatment, monitoring and aftercare. We also offer numerous specialised consultation hours that ensure competent care and coordination, even for rare or complex medical issues. As part of a university hospital, we are actively involved in nursing research in order to continuously improve the quality of our treatment.
