Sports orthopaedics and sports traumatology

Station B1

In our department, we treat patients with acute injuries and degenerative diseases of the large joints of the lower extremities - in particular the hip, knee and ankle. The aim of our treatment is to restore the function of the affected joints and thus give our patients back their mobility and quality of life.

Nursing care plays a central role in this: from pre-operative preparation to post-operative care and early mobilisation, we accompany our patients professionally and sensitively. We use modern surgical procedures such as arthroscopic and minimally invasive operations, as well as more complex procedures such as leg axis corrections or the use of partial prostheses. Nursing focuses on individualised pain therapy, wound care, mobility support and targeted instructions for movement in everyday life. Through interprofessional collaboration with the medical team and physiotherapy, we make a significant contribution to the recovery process. Our nursing team is always motivated, competent and supportive of the patients - with the common goal of enabling them to enjoy movement again.
