Shoulder and elbow surgery

Station J2

On our orthopaedic ward, which specialises in the shoulder and elbow, we treat patients with illnesses and injuries to two of the most mobile and functionally important joints in the human body. Accidents, overloading or degenerative changes can severely restrict mobility and strength - with a considerable impact on everyday life. Our patients come to us with conditions such as broken bones, dislocations, torn tendons or arthrotic changes, which are treated either conservatively or surgically.

Nursing care focuses on targeted pain therapy, early mobilisation that is gentle on the joints and close monitoring of the post-operative healing process. Guidance on self-help in everyday life and individualised support with movement restrictions are also integral parts of our nursing work. We work closely with the medical team and physiotherapy to achieve the best possible restoration of function and quality of life. Our nursing staff not only have specialist expertise, but also patience and empathy - because small advances often mean big successes for our patients.
