The Rhine-Neckar paediatric palliative care team supports seriously ill children, adolescents and young adults with life-shortening illnesses and their families. The aim is to ensure and improve the quality of life in the home environment. The interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, psychologists and social workers offers individual, holistic care - medical, nursing and psychosocial. Available around the clock, it provides support for symptoms such as pain or breathlessness and is on hand to help families in stressful situations.

In close cooperation with GPs, clinics and hospice services, the team enables people to live and die with dignity at home. Humanity, closeness and trust are at the centre of their work.
