The specialised paediatric cardiology nursing team takes care of the diagnosis, treatment and aftercare of congenital and acquired cardiovascular diseases in children, adolescents and young adults. The focus is on the pre- and post-operative nursing care of patients as well as before and after cardiac catheterisation examinations.

Another core element of our nursing work is instructing parents and carers in medication management, checking INR limits, handling drains and other inflows and outflows. In this way, we aim to give affected families and their children a sense of security and promote independence in everyday life.
