Nursing team in the neurology innovation rooms 1/2/3
Holistic nursing at the highest level
In the nursing team of Neurology 1/2/3, we offer particularly patient-orientated and interdisciplinary nursing. Our wards - Neurooncology (Neurology 1), General Neurology (Neurology 2) and the Neuro 3 elective ward - are characterised by their high level of expertise in the care of neurological patients. We care for patients in all phases of illness, from acute emergencies to post-operative care and rehabilitation.
Our nursing team consists of highly qualified nursing staff who have additional qualifications such as practical instructors, oncological nursing specialists, wound experts and nursing specialists for palliative care. This expertise enables us to provide individualised and holistic nursing that puts the patient at the centre. In neuro-oncology (Neurology 1) in particular, we provide comprehensive care for tumour patients of the nervous system, from the pre- and post-operative phase through to outpatient follow-up care. In addition to tumour therapy, our specialist nursing staff also take care of accompanying symptoms such as cognitive impairment, fatigue and seizures.
Our close cooperation in the interprofessional team enables us to continuously optimise the nursing processes. Through regular team board meetings and dialogue with doctors, therapists and social workers, we ensure that all patient needs are met in the best possible way. We utilise the latest diagnostic procedures and innovative treatment options to offer every patient the highest level of treatment.
The focus of our work is always on improving the quality of life of our patients, both in acute and chronic phases of illness. We accompany patients through the entire treatment process, offer rehabilitation programmes and support them in planning their care at home. Our values are empathy, expertise and continuous development - always with the aim of providing the best possible nursing care and support.
